How do I use the Aginet TP-Link app with my Home Unity Wi-Fi?

The Aginet TP-Link app is a free mobile app that makes it easy to manage your Wi-Fi at home. It is designed for everyday users and does not require technical knowledge. You can use the app to check your connection, change Wi-Fi settings, and keep your home network running smoothly.

What can I use the Aginet app for?

With the Aginet app, you can:

  • Check if your internet is connected

  • See which devices are using your Wi-Fi

  • Change your Wi-Fi name and password

  • Split your Wi-Fi bands (2.4Ghz & 5Ghz)

  • Restart your router without unplugging it
  • Set parental controls

How do I set up the Aginet app for the first time?

To get started:

  1. Download and open the Aginet app

  2. Sign in or create a TP-Link ID

  3. Follow the on-screen setup steps (your router will always be on 'Router Mode'

  4. Allow permissions when asked

Once set up, the app should automatically find your router.

⚠️ Caution: If the app cannot find your router, make sure mobile data is turned off and Wi-Fi is on.


How do I see which devices are connected?

In the app:

  • Open the network tab / home screen

  • Scroll down to Online Clients and click the right arrow (>)

You will see a list of phones, laptops, TVs, and other devices using your Wi-Fi, along with the signal strength and how much data the devices are currently using.

💡 Tip: Disconnect devices you do not recognise or are not using if Wi-Fi feels slow.


Can I restart my router using the app?

Yes. The Aginet app lets you restart your router without unplugging it.

How to restart

  • Open the Aginet app

  • Go to the More tab

  • Click on System
  • Tap Restart Network, then click Restart
